INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1: Gather Supplies

DIY Tabletop Christmas Tree Tutorial - SuppliesThe first thing you need to do is gather all the supplies needed for decorating the tabletop Christmas Tree.

You will need an artificial tree, hot glue gun, and an assortment of ornaments such as small Christmas balls, bells, garland, star, small bows, pine cones, etc.

Before going to the store to purchase supplies, you can upcycle decorations and material around the house.  Do you already have craft supplies you can use?  Take a nature walk and gather pinecones, acorns, dried flowers, and grasses.  After gathering items you already have, it is then time to purchase the balance of the items needed.

To save money, purchase some of the supplies at Dollar Tree for only $1 or your local dollar store.

STEP 2: Attach Ornaments

DIY Tabletop Christmas Tree Tutorial - Glue Ornaments to TreeWhen crafting it is always wise to protect your work surface with newspaper, brown craft/packing paper or something.

On the table place the artificial tree and layout all the ornaments and other decorations.

Will your tree have lights?  If it does, the first step would then be to add the lights.

Then, heat up the hot glue gun and begin gluing items to the artificial tree. The placement of the ornaments and the density of the decorations are up to you.

Viola the tree is complete. It is that simple! DIY Tabletop Christmas Tree Tutorial - Finished with Snowmen

Tabletop and miniature trees can transform a plain room into a holiday delight.  They are easy to set-up, easy to take down and easy to store.  These trees can be placed around the home in the kitchen, on the mantle, in the family room, on the bedstand and even in the bathroom to add Christmas spirit throughout the home.

And a bonus feature of small decorated artificial trees is they can be used year after year. At the end of the season, carefully place the tree in a plastic trash bag and tie the bag shut. Store away. The next year just unwrap and display.

Happy Crafting and Happy Holiday Season to You All!
