WHAT YOU NEED:

STEP 1: THREADING BEADS

Doll Crocheted Beaded Necklace Tutorial - Thread BeadsThread the yarn onto a yarn needle and string 12 beads onto the yarn.

STEP 2: FOUNDATION CHAIN

Doll Crocheted Beaded Necklace Tutorial - Crochet Foundation StitchesMake a slip knot and place the slip knot onto the crochet hook.

Begin by making a foundation chain.  To do this, chain 40.  If you are do not know how to make a chain stitch, watch our tutorial.

If you are left-handed, we also have left-handed crochet tutorials.

STEP 3: MAKING LOOP CLOSURE

Doll Crocheted Beaded Necklace Tutorial - Make CircleThis necklace has a bead and loop clasp as a closure.  After chaining the 40, it is time to make a loop for the bead and loop clasp.  This loop should be just large enough to go over the bead.  

To make the loop, slip stitch in the 4th chain from the hook.

STEP 4: CROCHETING

Doll Crocheted Beaded Necklace Tutorial - Add BeadTime to add a bead by doing a beaded single crochet.  Begin by inserting the hook into the next chain and pulling up a loop.  You now have two loops on the hook.  Move the bead up close to the hook as you see in the above picture.

Doll Crocheted Beaded Necklace Tutorial - Bead SetThe first bead has been added.  Next, crochet *two single crochet, one beaded crochet*. Repeat between *s to end of row.

STEP 5: ENDING

Insert the tail of the yarn into the loop and pull it tight.

STEP 6: WEAVING TAIL

When you put the necklace on the doll, just put it around her neck and insert the bead into the loop.

STITCH GUIDE:
Ch = Chain
Sc = Single Crochet
Bsc = Beaded Single Crochet
Sl = slip stitch
Slip Knot

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1. Thread the yarn onto a yarn needle and string 12 beads onto the yarn.

Step 2. Make a slip knot and place the slip knot onto the crochet hook.

Step 3. Begin by making a foundation chain.  To do this, ch 40.

Step 4. This necklace has a bead and loop clasp as a closure.   To form the loop closure, sl in the 4th chain from the hook.

Step 5. Then *sc2, bsc*.  Repeat between *s to end of row.

Step 6. At the end of the row, cut yarn, insert it in the loop and pull tight.

Step 7. Weave tails into the necklace.
