BRUSHES

Out of time? Store paint-filled brushes in a plastic baggie in your freezer - Thaw before starting up again. Designer Stencils

CLEANING STENCILS

Use baby wipes that are lanolin-free to clean stencils. Kraft Shack

HOLIDAY STENCILS

Use a child’s coloring book to make holiday stencils. They can be reduced or blown up on a copier machine. Kraft Shack

LAMPSHADE

Spruce up a lampshade with motif stencils as a border or scatter design. The Artful Stencil

SHADING

Shading is easier to achieve and looks softer if you use a very dry brush. Designer Stencils

STENCIL POSITIONING

Use yardstick or measuring tape and a pencil dot to position your stencils perfectly. When using registration dots, simply erase dots or paint them out when project is complete. The Artful Stencil

STENCILING - PAPER PLATES AND PAPER TOWELS

Paper plates are a great place to pour your paint. (Quick clean up and cheap). You also want to have a few paper towels nearby, for dabbing/wiping brushes and easy quick cleaning. The Stencilsmith
