My granddaughter came to visit for a week and when she comes we like to do fun activities together. She likes to draw, watercolor and paint.
So I looked online for area painting classes and discovered a few Painting with a Twist locations near me.
I have never painted and with a bit of apprehension I signed us up for an afternoon class.

WHAT A FUN AFTERNOON! We painted a cactus pot. Our instructor was excellent, giving us step-by-step instructions and encouraging us as we painted.
I learned:
* How to mix different colors of paint together to create a new color
* Different types of brush stokes
* Which brush to use for the brush stokes
* Various painting tips
I was amazed how well my cactus pot turned out.
Painting with a Twist is fun art, not fine art. They have lots of locations. If you want to learn more about them, click the link below to their website.
