The quilt top is finished and now it's time to quilt it. There are three options: hand quilt, machine quilt or send it to a long-arm quilter.
This page of videos is intended for those who wish to quilt the quilt themselves.
Two basic types of machine quilting can easily be achieved on most sewing machines—straight line and free motion. Straight-line quilting is the easiest of the two techniques. We have provided video tutorials on several straight-line quilting techniques such as stitch-in-the-ditch and serpentine stitching.
Both straight-line quilting and free-motion quilting require some practice, so we suggest starting with a small project first, such as a table runner, mug rug or baby quilt, just to get the hang of the technique.
If you prefer hand quilting, we have a video tutorial available to teach you how to make a quilter's knot.
