Here's a simple guide to creating your own St. Patrick's Day wreath
what you'll need to make the St. Patrick's Day wreath:
- Grapevine Wreath or Wooden Wreath
- Two Feather Boas
- One Flower Sprig Pick
- One St. Patrick's Pin
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (Purchase at Joann or Amazon)
- Needle Nose Pliers
- Scissors (Joann or Amazon)
instructions for making the feather boa wreath:
Step 1: Gather Supplies from Dollar Store
To make the wreath, first gather the necessary supplies from your local dollar store including the wreath base, boas, flower strig pick and St. Patrick's pin.
You'll also need a hot glue gun, glue sticks, scissors and needle nose pliers.
STEP 2: Remove Boas Ties
Once you have all your supplies, remove the ties from both ends of the feather boas using scissors.
STEP 3: Wrapping boas around the wreath
With your hot glue gun, apply a small amount of hot glue to a section of the grapevine wreath.
Begin wrapping one feather boa around the wreath form, securing it with glue as you go. Continue gluing and wrapping this boa around the wreath form.
Repeat the process with the second feather boa until the wreath is fully covered with feathers.
STEP 4: Adding Embellishments
Once the wreath is covered, it's time to add embellishments. Use needle nose pliers to cut the flowers from the sprig pick.
Then, use the hot glue gun to attach the flowers and
St. Patrick's pin to the feathers in any pattern or arrangement you prefer. It's finished.
STEP 5: HANG AND ENJOY
Once all embellishments are securely attached, your St. Patrick's Day wreath is ready to hang! Find the perfect spot to display your festive creation and enjoy the holiday spirit it brings to your home.
This easy St. Patrick’s Day Boa Wreath project not only adds a fun pop of color to your holiday decor but also brings a touch of luck to your home.
Looking ahead to other holidays, you can use boas in different colors. For example, red, white and blue for a patriotic wreath, black and orange for Halloween or white boas for winter or Christmas? The possibilities are endless!
Happy Crafting!
