DUCT TAPE CRAFTS ARE FUN!
One of the simplest duct tape crafts is a duct tape coin pouch/purse. Kids can make this super easy duct tape project in about an hour.
This handy duct tape coin purse can be used by kids for lunch money, to keep change in the car or even to hold coins or credit cards securely in a handbag or pocket.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Duct Tape
Velcro
Scissor
Paper for making template
Pen or marking pencil
Ruler
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1: MAKE TEMPLATE
Cut a piece of paper 4 ½” x 8 ½”. Draw a line about 6” from the bottom edge. Fold the paper in half lengthwise and draw an arc shape from the line with a pencil to the top of the paper.
Cut along the curve.
STEP 2: MAKING DUCT TAPE FABRIC
Cut strips of duct tape about 10 to 11 inches long. You are going to need 8 pieces.
Place first piece sticky side down on work surface. Take second piece of duct tape with sticky side down, overlap the first strip by about ½”. Do the same thing with the third and fourth strip.
Lift duct tape off work surface and flip sticky side up and place 4 more strips of duct tape, sticky side to sticky side.
The duct tape fabric is finished.
STEP 3: CONSTRUCTING THE COIN PURSE
Place template on duct tape fabric and trace with pen, pencil or just hold in place and cut out.
Cut a piece of duct tape about 4” long and cut the piece in half lengthwise.
Fold bottom edge of fabric up to bottom curved section. Using a piece of 4" tape place it half lengthwise along the side of the purse, making sure the top is aligned with top of the purse. Flip purse over and fold the other half of the tape to the back. Don't worry about the duct tape extending beyond the bottom. This will be taken care of later.
Repeat on other side with the other 4" length of duct tape.
Trim excess duct tape from the bottom of the purse..
STEP 4: ADDING CLOSURE
Take a piece of sticky back Velcro and attach to in the middle near the edge of the flap. Press firmly to attach. Remove sticky back from other half of Velcro, fold flap over and press the Velcro into place. Press firmly again.
If you do not have adhesive sticky back Velcro, you can use sew on Velcro by attaching it with a hot glue gun.
The coin purse is finished and ready to use!
