Below are dimensions for some of the popular eReaders. You can make this sleeve for ANY eReader or Tablet. You just need to adjust the measurements of the pieces.
- Kindle 2 Dimensions – 5.3” x 8" x .36”
- Kindle 3 Dimensions – 4.8" x 7.5” x .335”
- Kindle Touch Dimensions – 4.5" x 6.5” x .34”
- Kindle Paperwhite – 4.6” x 6.6” x .4”
- Nook Touch – 5" x 6.5” x .47”
- Nook Glowlight – 5" x 6.5” x .42”
So, taking the Kindle Paperwhite dimensions of 4.6" x 6.6" x .4" as a sample. You would add the .4" to both the height and width which gives you 5" x 7". Next, you will round these numbers to the nearest inch or half inch. My numbers are even, so I don't need to round them. This gives me 5" x 7". We now need to add 1" to each direction to leave enough room for the 1/4" seam allowance and some extra ease so the eReader will fit. So, my final cutting size for the front and back pieces is 6" x 8". See the table below...
If you cannot figure out the cutting sizes, please post a comment in the YouTube video comments with your device dimensions and I can give you the suggested cutting sizes.
