The Best Quilt Shows and Events in the USA
As a quilter, I am always on the lookout for the latest and nearest quilt shows. Of course, you don’t have to make quilts to love quilt shows and events. Many people attend them because they know the value of the art of quilting, collect quilts, or want to see what’s happening in the quilting world.
Sometimes I would drag my kids to the shows; sadly, they didn’t gain the interest I was hoping they would find there. However, I did have a friend invite me to a show, and I was instantly hooked!
For me, I love to admire the beautiful quilts being shown. I am always inspired as I see the possibilities of what I could perhaps create.
And, I LOVE the vendors! Yes, it’s dangerous to let me loose amidst rows of people selling fabric and demonstrating the latest gadgets and tools that I just KNOW would be perfect for me.
Oh, and the kits! Did I tell you how much I love quilting and sewing kits? Everything is right there for me. And those vendors have a completed sample for me to touch and admire!!! How can I pass it up?
The events are exciting and so helpful as well. Learning a new technique in a class helps me grow as a quilter. I have the opportunity to meet new quilting friends and add to my skills.

Presented by the Modern Quilting Guild, it is the largest modern quilt show and event happening annually. Thousands of people attend to look at the hundreds of modern quilts that are displayed.
QuiltCon is a five day event that includes tours, workshops, lectures, panels, and of course, a huge vender hall.
