So it’s fall, and the Big Game Day is coming up! It’s an exciting time in many houses, with food, friends, and the Big Game on TV. But what do you do with the littles who aren’t into watching the game?
Here are football crafts & activities for kids that will keep them entertained. Most of these crafts are made with simple materials easily found at home or the local store.
As a side note here, the Big Game has become the most-watched television event in the United States annually.
What more reason is needed to have football crafts at the ready for the kiddos? This will help them join in the day's excitement while doing football themed activities that are just for them.
Do you remember that old paper football game that kids would love to play? It’s so simple! One person would use their thumbs and index fingers to form a goal post, and another would shoot a folder paper “football” through the “goal post.”
Each side would take turns flicking the origami football to try to make a goal. Never fear; if instructions are needed on how to fold this gem of a football, they can be found below.
Another very creative idea to prevent the paper football from hitting the person in the face is to make the goal out of legos! Scroll down to see directions for making this colorful goalpost for the paper football game.
My favorite football-themed activity for kids is making the cereal box football player. It is darling, complete with a face mask, jersey, and helmet to be made in the favorite team’s colors.
Want to get excited cheering for the game? There are several cute ideas for making pom poms and pennants to lead your team to a win!
Be sure not to miss the woven football, fingerprint football, and marbled football, perfect for the littlest fans!
